Shearwater Boats
First, Let me Thank the members for all of the information this site has provided and for the things I've learned without breaking my bank account!!!
Now, let's get to your question. My first ride was on a Florida Skiff about 4 years ago which was run by a guide. It was a 22 ft with a knock down interior but a Shearwater hull. A larger livewell was added and we fished 4 without a problem. He had a 175 on it with a jack plate and ran shallow, dry and was quick to get on plane. I spoke to the guide several times after that trip and there was not one problem which he complained about. After purchasing a Flats and Bay and running that for 4 years my wife started to go fishing with me. The reason for the Flats and Bay is that as I got older an offshore trip with my other boat takes a commitment in terms of time and effort. and 2 hours of cleanup....read work, never mind the fuel prices.
